Mould Map

Mould Map is a series of publications containing new comics and narrative art. Although we don’t have a preferred taste for a particular visual style, the artists in each edition will be chosen with the aim of creating a cohesive overall tone. So the feeling the reader might get from the publication is more likely to change from issue to issue than from page to page. The links made through artist selection will act as our suggestion of just one way to navigate areas of the historical and contemporary comics / art landscape.
To help solidify the feel of each issue we will also suggest a general theme or context for the work which can then be interpreted as closely or loosely as desired. The specifics of the direction will not be disclosed in the final publication so as not to interfere with the reading experience, but reference images will be shared on this site.
The ‘Narrative Art’ tag is included in the above description as we want the work to be as free and experimental as the artist would like whilst retaining some narrative, however abstract. The Wiki definitions and variations of the term are really nice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narrative_art
Mould Map 1 is scheduled to be released in November 2010, with the second publication following in March 2011.

Bonjour,
I found your publication today in a parisian bookshop and I am captivated!
I recognised many illustrators that I follow for a while. I also like the way you made your revue.
So if I contact you, it’s because I’m an illustrator too. And I will be really interested to work for you.
To give you an idea of my stuff, I invite you to visit my website : http://www.studiomfb.com
